Striped Strap Winter Walker

These velcro walking shoes close with one wide hook-and-loop strap across the instep instead of laces, so the shoe opens wide and goes on without tying. The upper is a striped cashmere-feel cloth, the lining is fleece, and the sole is moulded rubber.

The strap runs the full width of the instep and fastens on a press, so it can be set where the fit feels right over a high instep or a foot that changes through the day. The toe is cut round with room at the front, and the collar sits below the ankle bone.

Outsole, lining and insole

The outsole is rubber, moulded in one piece with a shallow tread face, and the gallery shows the full tread face. A moulded youyun mark sits in the waist of the outsole: it is part of the supplier mould, not a printed label. The lining is fleece and the insole is a memory-foam pad.
