About Us

About AZEKA  ·  Last updated: 10 October 2026 · Version 2.0

AZEKA makes comfortable, supportive footwear for adults who want their feet to feel good at the end of the day — not just at the start of it. We build shoes around the foot, not the other way round: generous toe room, dependable arch support, cushioned steps and materials that soften rather than stiffen with wear.

Our story

AZEKA began with a stubborn observation: the people who need comfortable shoes most — adults whose feet have changed, widened, or started to hurt — are the ones least well served by what sits on most shop shelves. Our founder watched family members squeeze into shoes that were the wrong shape, then go out less because their feet hurt. We built AZEKA to be the brand we wished existed: supportive, well-made shoes that look like normal footwear and are easy to try at home.

We are an online-first brand, which lets us put the saving into materials and fit engineering rather than shop rent. It also means we work harder at the things a website cannot do automatically — clear sizing, honest descriptions, and a returns process that does not punish you for a fit that was not right.

1. Why we do this

Most shoes are designed for how feet look, not for how feet feel. Tapered toe boxes squeeze the toes. Thin soles transmit every impact. Firm uppers press on bunions or on toes that have changed shape. And as we get older, the margins for error get smaller — a shoe that was merely uncomfortable at thirty can become genuinely painful at sixty.

AZEKA exists to fix that. We design footwear for adults — particularly people aged 45 and over — whose feet are asking for more room, more cushioning and more support than high-street shoes usually offer. Whether your feet need a wider fit, deeper toe room, softer cushioning, or simply a shoe that does not hurt by the afternoon, our job is to make that easy to find and straightforward to try.

2. What we believe

Comfort should not come at the cost of looking good

We do not think anyone should have to choose between shoes that feel good and shoes they are happy to be seen in. Our styles are designed to look like normal, well-made footwear — not like a compromise.

Fit is personal, so trying should be easy

No two pairs of feet are the same, and no size chart can replace putting the shoes on. That is why every order ships free, why we give you a 30-day home trial, and why we pay for return shipping. If the fit is not right, we want you to be able to send them back without losing money on postage.

Honesty about what footwear can and cannot do

We will not tell you that a shoe can cure a medical condition, and we will not use a doctor’s photograph to imply an endorsement we do not have. What we can do is build genuinely comfortable, supportive shoes and describe them accurately. If you need medical advice, we will always point you to a qualified professional.

Long-term value over short-term novelty

We would rather you bought one pair you wear every day for a long time than three pairs you tolerate. In practice that means materials chosen for durability, construction that holds its shape, and a strong warranty on manufacturing defects.

3. How we design our footwear

  1. Start with the foot, not the trend. We begin from the dimensions and pressure points of real adult feet, including feet that have widened, developed bunions, or need extra depth.
  2. Build in room where it matters. Generous toe boxes, deeper uppers, and adjustable closures on styles where feet change size during the day.
  3. Engineer the cushioning. Impact-absorbing midsoles that reduce pressure under the heel and the ball of the foot during standing and walking.
  4. Support the arch properly. Contoured footbeds that support the arch rather than flattening against it, with removable insoles in most styles so you can use your own orthotics where you need them.
  5. Choose materials that behave. Breathable linings and uppers that soften with wear instead of cracking, and outsoles that grip on wet pavement and indoor floors.
  6. Test in the real world. Prototypes are worn for extended periods on hard floors, on pavement and over full working days — not just in a showroom.
  7. Fix what customers tell us. Returns, warranty claims and reviews are read by the team that designs the next range. When a closure fails or a size runs narrow, that feedback goes straight back into the next version.

4. Comfort features explained

FeatureWhat it does for you
Wide toe boxLets your toes sit in a natural position instead of being pressed together, which is a common cause of discomfort for bunions and toes that rub.
Extra depthMore volume above the toes and the instep, useful if your feet are sensitive or if you wear thicker socks.
Arch supportA contoured footbed that holds the arch in a supported position, which many people find reduces tiredness during long days on their feet.
Cushioned midsoleAbsorbs impact from walking on hard surfaces such as tile, concrete and pavement.
Removable insoleLets you take the footbed out to fit your own insole or orthotic, and to air the shoe more thoroughly.
Adjustable fasteningLaces, straps or hook-and-loop closures that let you loosen or tighten as your feet change through the day.
Slip-resistant outsoleImproved grip on wet or smooth surfaces, which matters more as balance and reaction time change with age.
Padded collar and tongueReduces pressure and friction at the ankle and instep, helping to prevent rubbing.

5. Our product range

We organise our shop around the way people actually shop for comfortable shoes — by the problem they are trying to solve, not by marketing categories. You can browse by:

Where a specific style is designed with a particular feature — a wider fit, extra depth, or a removable insole — we state this clearly on the product page so that you can check it against what you need before ordering.

6. Our promises to you

7. Health and honesty

Our footwear is designed for comfort and support. It is not a medical device, and we do not claim that our shoes diagnose, treat, cure, relieve or prevent any medical condition. Nothing on this website is medical advice.

If you have a health condition affecting your feet — including diabetes, neuropathy, circulatory problems, plantar fasciitis, bunions, heel pain, flat feet or overpronation — please speak to your doctor, podiatrist or another qualified healthcare professional before choosing footwear. We are always happy to tell you exactly what features a given style has, so that you can check them against the advice you have been given. We will never overstate what a shoe can do.

8. Where we are and how to reach us

We sell online and ship across Europe. Our customer service team handles sizing questions, order enquiries, returns and warranty claims, and will help you find the right model if you tell us what your feet need.

9. Built for the European everyday

AZEKA is an online brand that ships across Europe. We write our policies in plain language and align them with EU consumer-law minimums, so the promises on this site are promises you can rely on. Because we have no physical stores, we invest in the things that replace a shop assistant: a detailed size guide, a fit and width guide, and straightforward answers from our customer service team when you are choosing between sizes.

10. How we keep improving

Every return, warranty claim and review is read by the people who design the next range. When a closure fails or a style runs narrow, that feedback goes straight back into the next version. We would rather make the shoe better than ask you to make do.
