Walking puts more steps on a shoe than almost any other activity — and each one lands on a hard surface with your full body weight behind it.
Our walking shoes are built around the step: cushioning under the heel, a stable base, and uppers that flex where the foot bends. Closed backs and adjustable fastenings hold the foot securely over distance.
Impact does not arrive all at once; it accumulates. A shoe that feels fine for the first kilometre can feel flat by the fourth, because the midsole compresses where it is repeatedly loaded. Heel cushioning takes the sharpest part of that load, and the material matters more than the thickness — a dense foam that rebounds will outlast a thick one that bottoms out.
A slight drop between heel and forefoot moves load forward into the ball of the foot, where the arch and toes can manage it. A completely flat sole puts everything through one point, which is why walking shoes are usually built with a small, controlled difference rather than a dramatic one. Our 跑鞋 take that idea further for faster paces.
A closed heel counter stops the foot sliding forward and slightly side to side on each step, which is the main cause of blisters on long walks. Slippers and backless styles cannot do this — for distance, a closed back with an adjustable fastening is the reason it stays comfortable.
Most follow standard sizing, but walking shoes often fit snugly at the heel and roomy at the toes. If you are between sizes or have a wider forefoot, check the size guide on the product page.
That is where they earn their name — cushioning and a stable base are what soften hours on hard floors. If you also need something dressier for indoor shifts, see our 正装鞋.
Remove the insoles, wipe the uppers with a damp cloth and mild soap, and air dry away from direct heat. See the size guide before a first purchase.
If the pain is persistent, getting worse, or you have reduced sensation in your feet, please see a podiatrist or your doctor. Footwear is one part of everyday foot comfort — it is not a treatment.
