The arch is the foot's natural suspension. When a shoe's footbed is completely flat, the arch does its job unsupported for every hour you are on your feet.
Most factory insoles are designed to be thin and replaceable, not supportive.
These shoes are selected with a contoured arch area in the footbed — and a removable insole, so your own orthotic can take over when you need it to. The contour is what does the everyday work; the removable insole is what keeps the shoe useful if your needs change later.
Yes. Take the insole out first; the depth underneath is what makes room for yours.
They serve different purposes. A built-in contour supports everyday wear; a custom orthotic is prescribed for a specific need. The removable insole lets you use either.
An arch contour needs room to sit under the foot, so a forefoot that is too narrow will not benefit from it. Check the width on each product page — our Guia de ajuste e largura explains how widths are measured.
If the pain is persistent, getting worse, or you have reduced sensation in your feet, please see a podiatrist or your doctor. Footwear is one part of everyday foot comfort — it is not a treatment.
